The Latest Developments in Joint Replacement Surgery.
Joint replacement surgery (arthroplasty) may be a viable treatment option for patients who cannot find relief from their symptoms despite several weeks or months of conservative treatment. In the field of joint replacement, Dr. Yakkanti stands at the forefront. He is among a select few orthopedic surgeons who specialize in direct anterior approach hip replacement, a minimally invasive take on joint replacement that allows the damaged joint to be replaced without detaching any tendons. This typically leads to shorter recovery periods and less scarring for patients.
“Hip replacement surgery has one of the highest success rates of any joint replacement procedure,” says Dr. Yakkanti. “It truly does provide life-changing results by restoring comfortable and fluid hip movement.”
In addition to leading-edge hip replacement surgery, Dr. Yakkanti excels in minimally invasive knee replacement procedures that involve muscle-sparing techniques. His expertise in robotic surgery also leads to streamlined treatment for the patients he serves and a more rapid return to everyday activities.
